Welcome

Welcome to my studio! I would love to share my musical expertise with you and help you achieve your goals for piano study. I am a classically trained concert pianist, offering piano lessons in my home studio in Watertown, near the Belmont/Cambridge border. I am also on the faculty of the Rivers School Conservatory in Weston, MA. I am comfortable with a range of ages and levels, children through adults, beginner to advanced. I also am available for chamber music coaching, theory tutoring, and performance preparation.

In my teaching, I strive for balance of material - technique, musicianship, tone development, and an understanding of the form, theory, and historical context of the music. This can be challenging when faced with the limits of time, but when done with a sense of humor and a modest amount of organizational skills, it is definitely possible and will reap great rewards!
